Last night saw the first in person meeting for Council 29 (Drumbo & Carryduff – Area 2). The meeting was run in a hybrid form with brothers in person and also via zoom, this approach was decided upon to facilitate social distancing in our meeting room and also to allow Brothers to attend who didn’t want to attend a physical meeting.
“Getting back to face to face meetings has been a great milestone for our Council. Since taking up the role of Grand Knight 16 months ago I haven’t actually hosted a physical meeting. Our council is a very sociable Council and it was great to see everyone in person again.”
Grand Knight Brother Robert Bailie
The council worked closely with the Parish Priest to ensure the meeting could take place in a covid secure way with appropriate social distancing, sanitising, ventilation and temperature checks put in place.
Those attending the meeting thought it was very worth while and hopefully we will be able to continue to meet in person into the future.
