Centenary of the death of our founder Canon James Kearney

Friday 18th March saw the start of this years centenary of the death of our founder Canon James Kearney O’Neill with a Mass of Celebration organised by Area 2. Mass was celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church, Oldpark, Belfast, by the Papal Nuncio The Most Reverend Jude Thaddeus Okolo and concelebrated by His Excellency Bishop Noel Trainor, Supreme Chaplain, Fr. Brendan Kilcoyne, Provincial Chaplain, Fr. Henry McCann. Supreme Executive were in full attendance as well as several Past Supreme Knights, Order Trustees and many representatives from both Provincial and Primary Councils. It was a night of prayer, reflection and beautiful music. It concluded with a hot and welcoming supper in the parish centre. A big thank you to all from Area 2 and its Centenary Committee for the orgainsing of what became a splendid night of celebration and the start of hopefully a great Centennial year.
