As Supreme Advocate of the Knights of Saint Columbanus, John Murphy is the Supreme Council’s legal advisor, the Council of Directors and the Supreme Executive Committee in all matters affecting the Order, and he acts as legal Assessor to the Supreme Knight.
John joined the Order in 2009. He is a member of CK112 Kells and has served as Deputy Grand Knight and Grand Knight on that council.
He has also served as Provincial Advocate of Area 11. He has served as Supreme Advocate since 2016.
John is a solicitor who, before retirement, worked for many years in the public sector, namely the Property Registration Authority.
Pat and his wife, Patricia, are the parents of two children.
In his spare time, John likes to read and walk.
