The Supreme Knight, Bro. John Murphy, and the Deputy Supreme Knight, Bro. PJ Finn, with Bro. Michael Akinrele and Bro. Stephen Ferris, Supreme Knight and Deputy Supreme Knight of the Knights of St Columba, Liverpool, October 2026.
The Supreme Knight, Brother John Murphy, and the Deputy Supreme Knight, Brother PJ Finn, attended the 104th Supreme Council of the Knights of St Columba, held at the Liner Hotel in Liverpool from Sunday 4 to Tuesday 6 October 2026. There they were pictured with Brother Michael Akinrele, Supreme Knight of the Knights of St Columba, and Brother Stephen Ferris, its Deputy Supreme Knight.

A tradition between the two Orders
For many years the two Orders have attended each other’s Supreme Council, in fraternity, to learn from each other and to encourage each other in the challenges they share.
Brother Michael Akinrele and Brother Stephen Ferris will attend the Order’s own Stated Annual Meeting at Trim, from 9 to 11 October.
The Knights of St Columba
The Knights of St Columba were founded in Glasgow in 1919 by P. J. O’Callaghan, who served as their first Supreme Knight. Their principles are Charity, Unity and Fraternity, and their provinces, named on the tables in the hall, run from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Motherwell to Westminster, Wales, and Portsmouth and the Channel Islands.
