Appointment of Vice Postulator for the Venerable Matt Talbot

The Order of the Knights of St Columbanus welcomes the appointment by Archbishop Dermot Martin of Brother Michael Murphy as Vice Postulator for the Cause of the Venerable Matt Talbot.

The Order of the Knights of St Columbanus warmly welcomes and congratulates its fellow Brother, Michael Murphy, on his recent appointment as Vice Postulator for the Cause of the Venerable Matt Talbot.

This significant appointment recognises Michael’s longstanding commitment to faith, service and the promotion of Catholic values and marks an important milestone in the ongoing work associated with advancing the Cause of one of Ireland’s most respected spiritual figures. Michael has been the driving force behind the world wide promotion of the Matt Talbot movie depicting the life of one of Irelands most famous religious figures.

As Vice Postulator, Michael will assist in supporting and promoting the Cause of Venerable Matt Talbot, whose life of prayer, humility, penance and devotion continues to inspire people throughout Ireland and across the world. Matt Talbot’s witness of personal conversion and holiness remains particularly meaningful to those seeking hope, renewal and strength in daily life.

The Order of the Knights of St Columbanus acknowledges the dedication and responsibility associated with this role and expresses its confidence in Michael’s ability to serve with integrity, commitment and fidelity to the Church.
